4. Design and function

4.1 Description

The temperature transmitter serves for the conversion of the

resistance value or voltage value into a proportional digital

measurement value. The digital value complies with PROFIBUS

and FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus-specications and will be used in a

following logical control unit (e.g. PLC).

A unique switch function ensures automatic shift between the two

eldbus protocols.

Temperature Transmitter Model T53.10 is part of an electrical

temperature measuring device for use in the industry. The trans-

mitter is intended to be mounted into a commonly used connection

head of a electrical thermometer.
